I had a hunch this was an antique sandpaper drawing

and there are no other chips or cracks or flaws that I can see

I am not certain if that is correct, but it is definitely an old one, the glass very thick and the frame well worn, all full of character and aura. With a much darkened leather back and piece of old striped string for hanging. Nice.
